Dear INBC Members, NABS Participants and Friends of Norway
The Norway Asia Business Summit (NABS) was organized in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Indonesia and INBC’s Board and members between April 25 and April 27, 2013. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the summit’s delegates, presenters and moderators who made the program interesting, challenging and thought provocative.
I would like to personally thank the Board of INBC and its sub-committees for its diligent participation in the planning and execution n of the NABS program. An unidentified amount of man hours were invested into the NABS program and ensured a successful program, which covered a diverse selection of topics including Changing Trade Patterns in Asia, Norwegian Competitiveness, Responsible Business Practices and Brand Norway.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy, Indonesia and Innovation Norway have been two treasured partners in the planning of the NABS program. The Embassy generously supported INBC with guidance and access to their abundant roster of political figures and business executives for our speaker list. Innovation Norway actively assisted in securing speakers and granted INBC access to complimentary office space.
The Board of INBC are grateful for the generosity of our sponsors; Statoil, Jotun, Aker Solutions, DNB, Nordic Maritime, Q-Free, DNV, Allerira, Hati International and Nortic Vodka who’s contributions made it possible for INBC to ensure that we could maintain a quality level our summit participants would appreciate.
NABS created an invaluable platform for Norwegian business executives represented in Asia, to engage with Norwegian foreign affairs, politicians, Innovation Norway and support organizations who’s objective is to ensure easier execution of business between Asia and Norway.
Indonesian Government’s; Minister of Trade, Mr. Gita Wirjawan, offered the program’s closing remarks emphasizing Indonesia’s close ties with Norway and the prosperous future both counties are bound to experience, if further cooperation are extended.
The location of the next NABS summit will be decided by July 1, the INBC Board encourages everyone to participate as the valuable relationships between government and Norwegian business are created with ease and transparency.
